Address and route

The National Maritime Museum is easy to access by foot, public transport, car, bicycle and by boat!

By foot
The National Maritime Museum is a 20 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station.

By public transport
The museum is easy to reach with bus 22 (Indische buurt) and bus 48 (Borneo eiland). Both depart from the Central Station stop at the Prins Hendrikplantsoen in front of the Victoria Hotel. The bus stop at the museum is Kadijksplein/ Scheepvaartmuseum.

By boat
The museum is also accessible with Hop On – Hop Off Boat. The boat stops in front of the museum jetty Maritime Museum/ Artis Zoo. For more information please visit Stromma website.

By car
If you are travelling by car, take the A10 ring road North and take exit S116 (IJ tunnel). In the vicinity of the National Maritime Museum you'll find three parking garages: Markenhoven, Oosterdok and Oostenburgereiland.

Parking
The closest parking garage to the museum is Markenhoven. From here it’s a 600m walk to the museum.
