Asturias (Spain) Pavilion

Asturias, characterized by its deep-seated industrial culture, constitutes the main iron, steel and metallurgy area in Spain; in fact, exports from this sector contributes 65% of all exported products from the region. In addition, Asturias is a purely exporting region for electrical energy.

Strategically located for businesses in the north of Spain it has two industrial Ports, Port of Gijón and Port of Avilés, and a competitive shipping sector equipped with the most advanced technologies. Traditionally, Asturian shipyards have made up a high percentage of sector activity at the international level.

Engineering companies specialized in the design and integral implementation of "turnkey" projects and manufacturers of capital goods for offshore energy industry, as well as other high-demand sectors such as iron and steel works, chemical, petro-chemical, energy, defence, Oil&Gas, participate at the Pavilion at OEEC.

IDEPA, Regional Development Agency, supports Foreign Direct Investment taking on the role of intermediary between companies, administration and promotion entities.
ASTUREX, International Trade Agency of Asturias , organizes the group participation of companies and regional institutions at this fair.
