Asturias, characterized by its deep-seated industrial culture, constitutes the main iron, steel and metallurgy area in Spain; in fact, exports from this sector contributes 65% of all exported products from the region. In addition, Asturias is a purely exporting region for electrical energy.
Strategically located for businesses in the north of Spain it has two industrial Ports, Port of Gijón and Port of Avilés, and a competitive shipping sector equipped with the most advanced technologies.
