BAE Systems Norfolk Yard Wins USS Iwo Jima Repair Contract

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded an $80,647,084 undefinitized contract modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00024-11-C-4407) for the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities for the USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) fiscal 2013.

Contract funds in the amount of $60,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by October 2013. Norfolk Ship Support Activity, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
