Bumi Armada CFO steps down

Kenneth Murdoch has stepped down from his role as the chief financial officer (CFO) of Malaysian FPSO player Bumi Armada.

The company said on Friday that Murdoch decided to step down from his CFO position to pursue other personal goals outside the company.

Leon Harland, CEO and Executive Director of Bumi Armada, and the board of directors have accepted his resignation. Murdoch will stay with the company until November 17, 2016.

The scope of his duties at Bumi Armada included Finance, Risk Management, IT, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance, and Investor Relations.

Murdoch joined the company on November 18, 2013, from Maersk Oil where he also held the position of CFO. Before that, he worked for Schlumberger.

Bumi Armada said that the board of directors named Pierre Savy as the acting CFO. Savy will start in his new role with immediate effect with Murdoch supporting Savy in this transition period until his last official day.

Before joining the company, Savy was the Finance Director of SBM Offshore in Kuala Lumpur, where he was a part of the company’s operating center. Before SBM, Savy was the CFO of Technip Asia Pacific and was involved in the development of Technip in the APAC Region.
