Chinese Shipyard Finishes Repairs on MV SHIYAN 2

 

M/V “SHIYAN 2” well repaired by CIC Boluomiao shipyard. Shipowner was quite satisfied with the performance, and they expressed their gratitude to CIC Boluomiao shipyard. 

“We had asked other shipyards to repair M/V ‘SHIYAN 2’, but they all failed to solve the problem. We have great confidence on your company which well repaired our vessel.” said the ship owner of M/V “SHIYAN 2” on June 23rd, when the ship was finally repaired and left the shipyard.

Before the ship arrived to CIC Boluomiao shipyard on June 15th, the shipyard’s technician sailed after the ship to observe the situation and find out the causes of the problem, so that the shipyard can resolve the problem of oil leakage from stern shaft. After she arrived to the shipyard, the staff began to work in the engine room at a high-temperature of 40 degree. They lay on the axis/stern tube to take a careful measurement and checked every part to find out where was the problem. Based on the information collected from the inspection, the shipyard’s staff worked out a scientific plan for further repair. After completing the repair work, the shipyard did several tests and found the result was satisfactory. The problem of oil leakage was completely repaired. The good performance on solving the oil leakage problem for M/V SHIYAN 2 has boosted the reputation of CIC Boluomiao shipyard.
