GD NASSCO Awarded Maintenance Contract for USS Peleliu

General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Co., San Diego, Calif.,(GD NASSCO) has been awarded a $13,066,809 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee and cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00024-07-C-4013) for USS Peleliu (LHA 5) fiscal 2013 phased maintenance availability.

A phased maintenance availability includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2014. Fiscal 2013 Operations and Maintenance, Navyfunds in the amount of $13,066,809 will be obligated at time of award.

Contract funds in the amount of $13,066,809 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
