Virginia Beach training and simulation company wins Virginia’s Fantastic 50 Award

The Virginia Chamber of Commerce has announced the names of the companies who made the sixteenth annual “Fantastic 50” list of 50 of the fastest growing companies in the state. The winning companies were saluted at the annual awards banquet held April 28 at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly. VSD, LLC (VSD) was among the award recipients.

In winning this award, VSD is recognized for outstanding achievements for making a unique mark during a time that has produced many challenges for businesses in the Commonwealth. VSD’s work and success have helped stimulate Virginia’s economy.

“These growing companies are proof positive that optimism is very much alive in Virginia’s business community,” said Barry DuVal, president and CEO of the Virginia Chamber. “Small businesses are the economic engine of the Virginia economy, creating jobs necessary to revitalize the Commonwealth’s economy following the recent worldwide financial crisis.”

“We are honored to win such a prestigious award,” stated Chuck Wythe, managing director of VSD. “In such hard economic times, it’s great to be able to say our business is flourishing and Virginia recognizes that some companies are thriving.”

Nominations for the Fantastic 50 were sought statewide from local chambers, economic development organizations, small business development centers, and through the sponsors’ networks. To be eligible, companies were required to be privately held, be headquartered in Virginia, and show sales between $200,000 and $100 million. They were judged on a four-year sales revenue history. Verification of all award entries was conducted by the accounting firm of Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP.
