Safety precautions keep fishermen safe after boat capsizes on Saturday

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — All the right safety precautions helped keep a group of fishermen safe when their 28-foot vessel capsized about 11 miles south of Pensacola Pass.
Those precautions included having a registered radio beacon and wearing life jackets.
A Coast Guard spokesman said Francis H. Crockard Jr. of Birmingham, Ala., and four other men were rescued Saturday after Crockard’s pleasure craft, Cisco Kid, went down in the Gulf of Mexico about 3:30 p.m.
