CMA CGM looking to sell 49 percent of Malta Freeport Terminals

CMA CGM has confirmed that it is looking for investors to acquire up to 49 percent of the capital of Malta Freeport Terminals, the wholly owned group subsidiary which has the operating concession for Malta Freeport’s two container terminals. The group declined, however, to confirm a Maltese report that it is at an advanced stage in negotiations for the sale of the holding to the Maersk Group. It admitted only that it was, “studying the possibility of opening the capital of the concession company to minority investors.” “No definitive agreement has yet been concluded,” it added on Thursday.
