Supply chain key to maritime edge

The economic use of supply chain resources by harnessing of information, capital, inventory and manufacturers in a fluid, linear dynamic is key to giving trading nations an edge over their maritime rivals. “Amid increasing globalisation and liberalisation, the battle for business and trade is no longer fought between companies and nations but between supply chains,” said Senior Maritime Fellow of the Malaysian Maritime Institute (MIMA), Nazery Khalid, during a recent Malaysian symposium.
