Ontario builder expects 40 per cent ramp-up in production from Gulf oil spill

Connor Industries, which manufactures Stanley Boats, is expecting to ramp up production by 40 per cent by the end of the month to meet demand for boats working the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. “It is really exciting,” Bill Connor, president and CEO, told The Financial Post. “In the boat division itself this boom means an extra C$2.5m to C$3m in direct and indirect sales, giving a 15 per cent bump in revenues for the company overall.”
