Longboat Key Club Moorings Receives ValvTect Marina of the Year Award

At the International Marina and Boatyard Conference in Fort Lauderdale last month, ValvTect Petroleum, leading supplier of marine fuels, presented its 2010 Marina of the Year Award to Longboat Key Club Moorings in Longboat Key, Florida.
The ValvTect Marina of the Year Award is presented annually to a ValvTect Certified Marina for outstanding operation, total commitment to customer service and environmental stewardship.
Longboat Key Club Moorings is one of nearly 600 ValvTect Certified Marinas across the U.S. and the Caribbean that provide ValvTect Marine Gasoline and ValvTect Marine Diesel, specially-formulated for marine engines to prevent fuel related problems from ethanol blended gasoline and ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. The 291-slip facility, designated a Clean Marina by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is located on the ICW at Marker 15. It can accommodate yachts up to 150 feet and offers direct access to Sarasota Bay, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico.
“Our marina is part of the AAA Four-Diamond Longboat Key Club & Resort, which features world-class amenities such as spa, tennis and dining specially designed for serious boating enthusiasts. We are pleased to be recognized by ValvTect for the high quality, professional services we provide our guests,” said Dennis Matthews, Director of Marina Operations for Longboat Key Club Moorings.
Jerry Nessenson President of ValvTect Petroleum said, “We are pleased to award the prestigious ValvTect Marina of the Year Award to Longboat Key Club Moorings, which exemplifies the high standards of the Certified ValvTect Marina program for outstanding customer service, environmental stewardship and commitment to their community.”
