Four rescued from burning vessel

Three adults and a child were today recovering after they were rescued from a blazing motorcruiser on Upper Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.

The Coastguard was alerted to the emergency by police at about 8.20pm yesterday and an inshore lifeboat was tasked to the scene, near Carrybridge.

The passengers were rescued from the vessel and members of the Northern Ireland Fire Authority were transferred to the boat in order to deal with the blaze.
