S Korea STX Shipbuilding wins US$198 mln order

Seoul (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) – STX Shipbuilding Co. (KSE:067250) has won a 187.6 billion won (US$198 million) deal to build four container carriers.

STX Shipbuilding will deliver the vessels for NYK Line, Japan’s leading logistics company, by the end of 2009, the company said.

The South Korean company, ranked seventh in the world by order backlog, earlier this week revised its order target for this year upward to 73 ships worth US$3.6 billion from 54 vessels worth US$2.6 billion.
