Huangpu Shipbuilding Delivers Shao Shan 7

Huangpu Shipbuilding, a member of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) based in Guanzhou, China has delivered a 76,000 tons bulk carrier named Shao Shan 7 to Hunan Ocean Shipping Company, a subsidiary of COSCO Group.

Classed by China Classification Society (CCS) the bulk carrier has a gross tonnage of 41, 342 tons and 75, 258 tons DWT. This is the eighteenth vessel from the series.

With a maximum power of 8833 kilowatts, Shao Shan 7 features a design speed of 14.5 knots. Its length equals to 225 m, width 32.26 m and its load draft 14.2 m. The construction of the ship started in March last year and in the same month this year the bulker completed sea trials, clocking up 375 days of construction.
