Built by China’s COSCO Zhoushan shipyard, the 152,000 dwt vessel is employed under a 10-year time-charter contract with Repsol Sinopec Brasil.

Following the completion of the sale, Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers will operate a fleet of 12 tankers with a total size of around 2 million dwt, VesselsValue data shows.

The company has four Suezmax shuttle tankers currently under construction, three of which are being built by South Korean Hyundai Heavy Industries, while the COSCO Zhoushan is building the remaining tanker.

The newbuildings are scheduled to join the company’s fleet in November 2016 and February, April, and July of 2017, respectively.
