M/F Aeroskobing Turned into Work of Art, Denmark

Cruising the Baltic Sea can be a colourful experience. Now people can sail to and from the Danish island Ærø in a floating work of art. In the past few weeks, the artist duo, Randi & Katrine, has been busy turning the M/F Aeroskobing ferry into one huge work of art.

The work is nothing less than a total artistic makeover of the ferry that has been embellished with various exotic elements that challenge the traveller’s customary image of the island ferry. Now it’s now up to the ferry’s passengers to let themselves be inspired to make a mental journey to a remote destination.

The artwork by Randi & Katrine was brought to realization as part of the “Vores Kunst” [Our Art] competition, which the Danish Arts Foundation, the National Arts Council and Denmark’s Radio collaboratively launched back in 2011.
