New contract extension for Safe Hibernia in Mexico

Mexico’s Cotemar  has awarded a contract extension for the Safe Hibernia accommodation rig through to 23 December 2014 with unchanged day rate.

New contract extension for Safe Hibernia

The contract value of the extension is USD 7.9 million. The rig provides accommodation services to Mexico’s state-run oil company, PEMEX.

The Safe Hibernia, owned by Prosafe, was built in 1977 at the Rauma Repola yard in Finland to an Aker H-3 design.

It has a twelve point, 76mm wire mooring system, capable of station keeping in the harshest of environments.
