New management team sets up at Magseis

The newly recruited chief financial officer (CFO) and senior vice president (SVP) have begun working for Norwegian geophysical company Magseis.

Magseis said on Wednesday that CFO Tom Henrik Sundby and the SVP for sales and marketing Andrè Bjørvik began working for the company.

Sundby, recruited by Magseis back in February, has more than 25 years of experience in finance and management positions. He came from the position of finance director at BerGenBio. Previously, he was based in Dubai, UAE, where he held the position as CFO of Polarcus for eight years.He also held various financial and management positions within KPMG and TINE.

Bjørvik, the new SVP of sales and marketing, has 15 years of seismic industry experience, primarily within sales and marketing. For the last ten years, he worked for PGS MultiClient where he has been leading the Europe sales division while based in Oslo and London.

Magseis added that it expanded global operations and relocated its head office to Lysaker, Norway, effective April 9, 2018.

Acting CEO, Per Christian Grytnes, said: “The new offices enables all Magseis Oslo based staff to work from the same premises. We are expanding our global operations, and the new headquarters will support efficient implementation of Magseis growth plans.”
