According to NorSea, the agreement covers warehouse management, transport, customs, and the management of the logistics for the Borgland Dolphin offshore drilling rig, when moved to GreenYard in the Fedafjorden for reactivation later this summer.

As previously reported, UK-operator has hired the Borgland Dolphin semi-submersible drilling rig to drill the Liberator and Serenity wells in the UK Sector of the North Sea.

Commenting on the contract with Dolphin Drilling, NorSea COO Lars Haug said: “The 4PL collaboration agreement with Dolphin Drilling marked in many ways a milestone for us as a company and the changes we experience in the market. For the first time, we have a customer who has challenged us and given us the total logistics responsibility associated with their operations, so that they can focus on their core business.”

NorSea did not share the financial details of the agreement.
