Norway: E.ON to Drill Exploration Well near Skarv

E.ON to Drill Exploration Well Near Skarv

E.ON, in close cooperation with the partners in the Pruduction Licence PL558 has completed the work program, comprising seismic re-processing and G&G studies, which has confirmed the prospectivity within the area.

The partnership has therefore decided to drill an exploration well within the license, which is located to the south of the Skarv field (where E.ON has a 28% interest).

A site survey will be acquired over the drilling location this summer, and a drilling rig will be secured. E.ON drilled two operated exploration wells in Norway during 2011.

The PL 558 was awarded in January 2010, as part of the APA 2009 licensing round and covers an area of 145.854 square km.  The partners in PL558 are PGNiG, Det norske oljeselskap and Petoro.
