Perdana nets three-year gig with Petronas

Malaysian offshore marine services provider Perdana Petroleum has been awarded an umbrella contract by Petronas Carigali for the provision of spot charter marine vessel services.

The contract was awarded to Perdana’s wholly owned subsidiary, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB), and accepted on March 17.

The contract is for a period of three years with effect from March 15, 2017, until March 14, 2020, with an extension option of two years exercisable by Petronas Carigali.

Perdana Nautika was awarded four packages offered by Petronas under the umbrella contract which allows it to provide marine vessels for four categories: anchor handling tug and supply vessel with 100MT and below bollard pull; anchor handling tug and supply vessel above 100MT bollard pull; workboat; and workbarge.

The contract will enable Perdana to provide the vessels, crews and associated equipment for continuous 24-hour operations.

The total value of the contract will depend on the actual number of days the vessels are on-hire based on instructions from Petronas from time to time during the contract period.
