Jan Vos is board chairman of the Dutch Wind Energy Association (NWEA), in which more than 300 companies have united to generate more renewable energy. He is also CEO of MoneyPhone BV, an internet company that provides microloans in Africa and Latin America. He is also vice-chairman of the Dutch Renewable Energy Association (NVDE), a member of the board of the TKI Wind at Sea and a member of the North Sea Consultation.
Vos has been active in the PvdA since his studies at Erasmus University, where he graduated in UN peacekeeping operations. In 2012, he was also elected to the Lower House for that party, where his responsibilities included the Economy, Climate & Energy portfolios.
