Peter’s professional experience includes 22 years in the upstream petroleum industry with Shell, BP and LASMO where he ran world-scale projects in the Middle East, West Africa and Former Soviet Union. During his time in the industry, he led multidisciplinary teams in international business development and commercial negotiations with governments and National Oil Companies for multibillion dollar petroleum contracts in countries such as Azerbaijan and Iran. Peter’s experience includes the technical and commercial aspects of LNG supply projects that are a close analogue for the liquid hydrogen value chain.
Since 2001, Peter has co-founded several successful businesses, including a global geoscience consultancy Neftex that was acquired by Halliburton in 2014. In 2005, he became an adviser on long-term energy pricing and related issues to Toyota’s Alternative Fuels Vehicles group.
