Qatari LNG bound for Japan

Qatar, the world’s largest liquefied natural gas producer, shipped an LNG cargo from the Ras Laffan Port to Japan today.

The Fraiha LNG tanker, with a capacity of 210,000 cubic meters, is expected to arrive at Chubu Electric’s Chita terminal on October 30, according to shipping data.

The Chita terminal is one of the biggest LNG terminals in Japan. It supplies 60% of Chubu Electric’s LNG requirements and 80% of Toho Gas’ LNG requirements each year.
