South Hook LNG terminal on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is scheduled to receive a Qatari cargo of liquefied natural gas next week.

According to the data release by the Milford Haven Port Authority, the 2008-built Al Huwaila LNG carrier with a 217,000-cbm cargo capacity is scheduled to dock at the South Hook terminal’s jetty on December 7.

The LNG carrier jointly owned by Nakilat and Teekay will be the first to deliver a cargo to the South Hook terminal in December.

Gas supply from the South Hook terminal was about 9.15 mcm/day on November 30 according to the latest National Grid data.

The South Hook terminal owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total SA can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
