Songa Offshore Reports Fleet Status Update for May 2013

Songa Offshore, a Cyprus-based offshore drilling contractor, has announced its drilling rig fleet status update for May 2013.

Songa Dee achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month continuing working for Statoil in Norway.

Songa Delta achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month continuing working for Statoil in Norway.

Songa Trym achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month continuing working for Statoil in Norway.

Songa Venus completed its mobilization to Mubadala Petroleum’s location offshore Vietnam in mid-May and achieved an efficiency of 97% during the operational period.

Songa Mercur finished the contract with Zarubezhneft in Cuba on 29th May and achieved an operating efficiency of 94% during the period. In addition, the crew recorded a milestone of three years of operation without an International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) recordable incident. The rig is now preparing for mobilization to Vietnam for the previously announced contract with eniVietnam.
