Offshore Wind Conference - day 2
Corporate social responsibility in wind turbine supply chains The increased reliance on wind energy in the Netherlands and around the world will create stronger demand for the minerals needed to produce wind turbines. It is therefore becoming increasingly important that the wind energy industry pays attention to the supply chain of wind turbines, which are linked to human rights impacts for communities near mines, and environmental damage. By implementing human rights due diligence standards companies can avoid contributing to adverse social and environmental impacts in the supply chain. This presentation will focus on the different social and environmental risks in wind turbine supply chains and how to address these risks by implementing CSR standards.
