Taizhou CATIC Holds Bulk Carrier Keel-Laying Ceremony

The Keel-Laying Ceremony of the 1st 51,000 DWT bulk carrier built for a domestic owner was held inside the Dry Dock at Taizhou CATIC in January.

The vessel adopts start-of-art optimized design of flap rudder ball to improve the convolution function and MAN B&W 6S46ME-B8.2-TII type Main Engine characterized with low fuel oil consumption and reduced emission of NOx achieved via exhaust bypass.

Administrative General Manager, Mr. Wu Kefu, Assistant General Manager, Mr. Huang Qinghua and other shipyard relevant leaders, attended the ceremony together with owner’s representatives and Class site surveyors and witnessed by photos.
