1. Malaysia Airlines’ Missing Flight MH370 Could Be in Gulf of Thailand ?

Malaysia Airlines reports that their flight MH370 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing disappeared on Saturday with 239 people abroad.

2. Bibby Remote Intervention Expands Its Vessel and ROV Fleet

Bibby Remote Intervention Limited (BRIL), part of Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor, Bibby Offshore, has further expanded its fleet by signing a charter agreement for an IRM (Inspection Repair and Maintenance) light construction vessel and adding an additional two ROVs (Remote Operating Vehicles) to its operations.

3. CNRI Hires Harkand Da Vinci Vessel in North Sea

Fast-Growing international subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) group Harkand is to position a second dive support vessel in the burgeoning North Sea sector after securing a major contract with CNR International (CNRI).

4. VARD Secures Largest Single Vessel Order in Its History

Vard Holdings Limited (“VARD”) has entered into a Letter of Intent with Solstad Offshore (“Solstad”) for the design and construction of a large Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel (OSCV). The contract will be the largest single vessel order in VARD’s history.

5. Cecon Pride Gets First Charter Contract

Cecon ASA has informed that Cecon Shipping 2 AS, the wholly owned subsidiary of Rever Offshore AS, has entered into a bare-boat contract for the first newbuild SSC vessel “Cecon Pride” with Micoperi SLR.
