Zenith Energy appoints business development manager

An Aberdeen-based well engineering and project management company has made a key management appointment as it continues to experience significant growth.

Zenith Energy, which was established in 2012, has appointed Steven Miller, as business development manager, following an increase in project numbers and contract wins since the start of the year.

The specialist well management firm, which is based at Aberdeen’s Regent Quay, has gone from strength to strength, securing its first full management service within 18 months of launching and working with a number of large operators in the industry.

Miller brings more than eight years of experience to the role, previously holding a number of business development positions within the oil and gas industry. He will concentrate on customer relationships with both existing and potential clients to accelerate overall growth of the business.

Managing director of Zenith Energy, Martin Booth, said: “Steven’s wealth of knowledge and experience will be invaluable as the business continues to grow with new and existing projects. We have grown from two employees to 11 in a short space of time, so it is vital to have key people in place to further develop our services. This appointment is important for our strategic growth plans and reflects the success we have achieved to date.”

Miller added: “Zenith Energy is growing quickly, with a number of large projects on the books, which is a great achievement as the business only launched 18 months ago. I am pleased to be joining such an ambitious forward thinking team and a business that is currently in an exciting phase, as it continues to expand and increase staff numbers.”

The appointment will further strengthen Zenith’s team of 11, which combined, equals to over 100 years of professional experience in the industry. Zenith’s core team of experienced engineers provide a range of services to the oil and gas industry, and have carried out a variety of work with a number of operators in the UK, Ireland, Norway, France and West Africa.
