Intertek, a global leader in quality and safety solutions for a wide range of industries worldwide, confirms that Intertek’s Singapore petroleum, chemical and LNG cargo inspection operations have been awarded an ISO/IEC 17020 certification by Singapore Accreditation Council.

The certification for inspection services covers bunker surveys, loading & discharging supervision, and ship-to-ship transfer for crude oil, petrochemical and gas products. Intertek provides an extensive range of inspection services for crude oil, refined petroleum and petrochemical products, gases, tank cleanliness inspection, and in-line sampling, as well as quality and quantity cargo surveys for different commodities at refineries, terminals, floating storages and on tankers.

Intertek Singapore Country Manager John Chan comments, “The ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation award is an important milestone for our Singapore inspection business, underlining Intertek’s commitment to deliver internationally recognized quality services, procedures and programmes.”

The scope of the accreditation covers cargo inspection classified as natural resources and refined products from crude, petroleum and petrochemical products, lubricating oil, gases and bunker surveys.

For more than three decades Intertek Singapore has helped local industries ensure the quality and safety of their products, processes and systems, supporting clients involved with petroleum, petrochemicals, industrial gases, agricultural products, textiles and garments, electronic and electrical products, governmental contract pre-shipment inspection, industrial technical services, high-end engineering projects, and international systems certifications.
