DOF Subsea UK secures IRM contract in the Baobab field, West Africa worth approx £1 million.

DOF ASA’ subsidiary, the Aberdeen-based specialist subsea service company DOF Subsea UK has secured a contract for Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Services in the Baobab field, West Africa which is worth approximately £1 million.

The project is scheduled to start in Q2 2011, using DOF Subsea’s vessel, the Geoholm (Photo). The scope of work, includes Multiphase Flow Meter removal and replacement, Choke replacement and Subsea Control Module replacement in water depths around 1,200m. The project is expected to last approximately 14 days.

Garry Millard, Managing Director , DOF Subsea UK says “We’re delighted to be supporting a new client and to be delivering IRM/Intervention services from one of our own vessels. The award of this contract gives us the opportunity to further demonstrate our capabilities.”

DOF Subsea provides subsea construction and engineering, IRM, ROV and survey support services to the world’s major subsea markets. The company employs over 1,200 highly qualified staff and owns state of the art equipment including offshore construction, diving and ROV support vessels, ROVs, 1 AUV and diving spreads.
