STX OSV Holdings Limited (“STX OSV”), one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels, is pleased to announce that it has secured a new contract for the design and construction of a Platform Supply Vessel with NorSea Group AS.
The vessel will be of STX OSV’s own PSV 08 design, and is scheduled for delivery from STX OSV Brattvaag in Norway in June 2012. The hull will be delivered from STX OSV in Romania.
The vessel is a multifunctional PSV of approximately 4000 dwt and with a deck area of 880 m2. In addition, the vessel is equipped with standby rescue, firefighting and oil recovery functionality.
NorSea Group AS, based in Stavanger, Norway, is a leading supplier of base services and integrated logistics solutions for the oil and gas industry in Norway. The vessel will be operated by Eidesvik Offshore AS.
