Bergen Group Hanøytangen has been awarded a letter of intent from Odfjell Drilling & Technology related to a yard stay for the rig Deepsea Atlantic scheduled to be carried out in August 2011. For Bergen Group Hanøytangen the project has an estimated value of NOK 20-25 million. A contract is expected to be finalized this week.

Deepsea Atlantic, currently exploring for Statoil on the Gullfaks South field, is an ultramodern 6th Generation deepwater semisubmersible designed for harsh environment operations worldwide.
