Blue Offshore, a specialist subsea construction contractor, have commenced with the building of their second cable installation system for delivery by Quarter 1 2012.

Blue Offshore assist their customers with innovative standalone and module-based solutions to suit their particular project needs. This second installation system will be based on their first system and will consist of an adaptable modular turntable system with carrying capacity up to 9,000 tonnes, loading arm assembly, tensioners, trackways and associated equipment. Delivery is scheduled for Q2 2012. This announcement follows the ongoing construction of the first cable installation system and the recognition of current and future market requirements.

Blue Offshore provides all the products and services required for subsea cable and umbilical installation, ranging from project management, design and engineering through to installation and terminations. This also includes the tie-back to offshore platforms or to the shore.
