Bodewes Shipyards BV is a leading modern shipyard group situated along the Winschoterdiep. Since the foundation in 1812 (almost 200 years ago), their activities have focused on the designing and building of ships and the contact with clients based on the principles of quality, reliability and flexibility. Next to building ships in Hoogezand, Bodewes started with the preparations to build hulls at a shipyard in Romania at the end of the 90’s. Three years later the first hull arrived at the yard in Hoogezand where she was outfitted into the high quality vessel that Bodewes is known for. Nowadays hulls are being built in the Ukraine and Poland as well as Romania. The hulls are outfitted at the yard in Hoogezand.
