Nusantara Regas of Indonesia expects its FSRU project in the Jakarta bay, West Java to operate at full volumes (3 million mt/year ) by end 2016 or early 2017, Platts reported, citing the company’s president director Hendra Jaya.
“ We estimate that about 80,000-100,000 Mcf/day of gas will come from imports and the rest from domestic sources as many gas projects will come on stream in the coming years, ” he said.
The West Java FSRU started operations in May this year.
PT Nusantara Regas, a joint venture company between Indonesia’s Pertamina and PGN, signed a Time Charter Party for the FSRU with Golar LNG Energy Limited in 2011.
The FSRU will be hired for 11 years and is the first FSRU in South East Asia.
