U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced plans for the maintenance dredging at the Palm Beach Harbor.

Base work for this project consists of maintenance dredging the Palm Beach Harbor Entrance Channel to a depth of 39 feet plus 2 feet of overdepth from Sta. 30+00 to Sta. 47+00.

This excavation depth includes 2 feet of advanced maintenance. Also included is excavation of the existing settling basin to a depth of 35 feet plus 2 feet of overdepth. Disposal for these areas is placement at the designated beach disposal site which lies approximately 1,000 feet south of the project area.

Additional base work includes excavating the North Turning Basin to a depth of 25 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Disposal for material from this area is nearshore placement between MLW and the -17-foot contour adjacent to the beach placement area described above.
