Iran is ready to provide gas to Pakistan, Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIM) President Yahya Al Eshagh announced.

Referring to gas pipeline project, he said that the pipeline laying work is in progress and expected to be completed in next 8 to 10 months up to Pakistan border, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

“ Iranian companies are also showing interest in laying pipeline in Pakistan ”, he added.

Pakistan will construct a 700km-long pipeline from its border while Iran would build a 300km long stretch of the pipeline from Iranshahr to the Pakistani border.

Based on agreement between two countries, Iran agreed to export 21.5 million cubic meters of natural gas daily, 7.8 billion cubic meters annually.
