ADC Orders Jack-Up Rig from Singapore’s Keppel

Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) today, November 5, announced it has ordered a KFELS Mod V – B Class jack-up rig.

The rig, under construction at Keppel FELS Limited in Singapore, will be delivered to ADC in the second quarter of 2013.

“We expect the rig to be deployed on a longer term contract in the Middle East market,” said the Saudi Arabian drilling contractor ADC in a press release. The company also revealed that the rig would be named “ArabDrill-50 (AD-50)”.

The company did not disclose the value of the purchase.
