Russia’s largest independent gas producer Novatek is continuing with its share buyback programme.
Novatek said that pursuant to the company’s buyback program announced on 7 June, during the period from 16 through 23 November 2012, 485 thousand ordinary shares (including in a form of Global Depositary Receipts) of the company were purchased on the open market.
The company is the operator of the Yamal LNG project which aims to develop the South Tambey (Tambeyskoye) gas field, located near Sabetta in the Yamal peninsula in Russia.
