P/F Atlantic Petroleum today announces, through its wholly owned subsidiary Volantis Netherlands BV, the Company is obtaining a six per cent interest in Licences E1, E2, E4, and E5 offshore Netherlands.

The licences are operated by Centrica and lie adjacent to UK/Netherlands border in approximately 35 – 40m of water. The licences are also adjacent to UKCS Licence P.1899, awarded in December 2012 to Atlantic Petroleum, Centrica and GdF Suez in the UKCS 26th Round and lie approximately 50 km NE of the Cygnus Field.

Ben Arabo CEO of Atlantic Petroleum comments: “Atlantic Petroleum is pleased to be entering into the Dutch sector of the Southern North Sea. With these licences, we will continue to chase the plays we have been developing in the UK sector of the basin.”
