After starting the dredging project in the fall of 2011, the city of Hannibal is ready to undertake its second phase of this very important deepening program.

Andy Dorian, the Parks and Recreation Director, believes that this project will cost anywhere between $60,000 to $90,000.

Under the dredging plan, officials will focus on dredging the boat slips as well as the back end of the marina, according to wgem.com.

The main reason for undertaking this project in two phases was high costs; it was too expensive to do it all at once.
