In the process of extraction of the shale gas on the territory of Ukraine the highest level of environmental protection is to be ensured. This was stated by Mykola Azarov in his conversation with Facebook users.
“So, owing to the extraction of shale gas the USA could refuse from import of Qatar liquefied gas and ensure themselves with gas in full amount. A huge country with the biggest economics in the world could have managed to ensure itself in full at the account of shale gas. And now they are even suggest certain gas amounts for export. Almost the same situation is in Canada,” Mykola Azarov emphasized.
According to him, elaboration a concept of shale gas extraction Ukraine, certainly, studies experience of the USA and Canada. “We have studied their experience, studied environmental aspects of extraction process either. I must admit, of course, certain problems and certain threats exist, as they exist in practically every industrial production. But the task of both technologists and industrialists is to achieve that risks were minimal,” the Premier underlined.
He added if respective companies have managed to achieve that in the USA and Canada, there should not be any doubts that the same level of environmental protection as it is in the mentioned countries will be secured in Ukraine.
