Vroon has announced that, in a ceremony held on February 8 at Oranjewerf Shipyard in Amsterdam, VOS Sweet was Christened by Mrs. Madelon Bangma, Partner, Ernst & Young Accountants LLP.

Built at Fujian Southeast Shipyard of China, VOS Sweet is a DP-2 and 4-point mooring subsea-support vessel (SSV). She is sister vessel to VOS Shine with enhanced DP specification and will be followed by a further, slightly larger newbuilding SSV, to be named VOS Sugar, in 2015.

Following her arrival in Europe in January, VOS Sweet has undergone final outfitting work and installation of her crane at Oranjewerf Shipyard. She is now ready to commence operations in the European market, under the management of Den-Helder-based Vroon Offshore Services BV.
