The Mark V class vessels are the largest of its kind, with a length of 265 metres, offering a cargo volume of 138,000 cubic metres over six fixed and three hoistable decks. The pioneering roll-on/roll-off vessel is built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan. Wilhelmsen ASA and its partner Wallenius Lines have ordered four Mark V vessels from the Japanese shipyard in total. Two of these have already been delivered. The company launched into operation the first of this type of vessels, MV Tonsberg, at its 150th anniversary in 2011, whereas the second, MV Parsifal, was launched in the following year.
