EDT Offshore announces the delivery of its first 150 Hp 3,000 meter rated Quasar Mk II ROV System.

The Quasar is manufactured by Soil Machine Dynamics (SMD) a well regarded manufacturer of subsea trenching and work class ROV systems.

The Quasar MkII builds on the proven design of the MkI system to deliver exceptional performance.

The system was delivered in February 2013 and comes with a full compliment of both survey and intervention tooling not commonly found with competing systems. EDT will use the system to provide expanded subsea service support to both new and existing customers in the Mediterranean region.
