Go Offshore today annouced it has secured a charter contract for its FOS Polaris vessel.

Under the agreement signed with PTTEP Australasia, the vessel will be used for cargo operations between FPSO Montara Venture and Darwin, Australia. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.

The Montara project is located approximately 690km west of Darwin and approximately 250km north west of the WA Kimberley coast in a water depth of approximately 77m.

“The FOS Polaris departed Fremantle and is en route direct to the FPSO to commence operations,” GO Offshore, a provider vessels management, marine consultancy, offshore crewing, rig moving services said in a press release.

The FOS Polaris was in January involved in a minor collision incident with another vessel approximately 1km off the coast of Exmouth, Australia. No one was injured in the incident.
