As QGC approaches the final stages of construction to deliver first LNG in 2014, the company provided a video update of where the QCLNG project is in this phase of the project.

On completion, the LNG plant located on Curtis Island near Gladstone, will comprise two LNG trains – each able to produce more than four million tonnes of LNG a year, two storage tanks each able to hold about 140,000 m3 of LNG, a marine facility for passenger and equipment transportation between the mainland and Curtis Island, and marine loading facilities for LNG cargoes.

The LNG plant will receive natural gas from production wells in southern Queensland via a 540km pipeline.
